Negative buzz, positive results?
There is an old saying "any publicity is good publicity, as long as they spell your name right", and as much as you may think the way things work on the Internet are a far cry from the old brick and mortar ways of doing business, some things may never change.

Google Drops the SOAP - The negative aspect of Google deprecating their SOAP API has certainly drawn a lot of attention to their AJAX Search API.
- Wikisaria - First there were the reports that Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales was partnering with Amazon to create a search engine to do battle with Google. Then we learn that this was being reported wrong. Now, how much traffic has been generated for Wikisaria and the rest of the story?
